Had a chance to get out on the water after work, and as I had my gear in the car from yesterday, it would have been rude not to. Mark and his mate were already there rigging 6.5m sails and Bertrand on a 5.8m. The wind was about 20mph at this stage, so looking OK. Rigged the 6.3m as I hadn't got my 8m with me. The guys were just about planing when they first went out, but by the time I got on the water about 10 minutes later, the wind was dropping and never really recovered. Never managed to get fully on the plane myself even with energetic pumping, but I was happy with the freestyle practice I got, which should at least help when the wind is stronger in the future. Beautiful sunny weather though, which more than made up for it. Typically, as the water became too shallow due to the outgoing tide, the wind started to pick up - always the way!
